Write for us

Inspired Civic Journal welcomes concise, original pitches about how groups prepare for discussion, share participation, make choices and keep records. Send proposals through the Contact page; a pitch is not a promise of publication.

What makes a useful pitch

Propose one clear subject and explain the question a reader will be able to answer after reading. A strong pitch has a distinct angle, a sensible scope and a reason the subject matters beyond one meeting or organisation. Tell us the likely structure, the intended reader and any important limits or uncertainties.

Topics and approach

We are interested in general explanations, comparisons of discussion formats, decision-making concepts and ways to make records easier to understand. Keep recommendations safe to use without specialist intervention, and flag where local rules or an organisation's own procedures may change what is appropriate. Do not send confidential records or personal information about other people.

Sending a proposal

Use the Contact page and select the editorial question option to send your pitch. Include a working title, a short summary and a brief note about your relevant experience or perspective, without implying credentials you do not hold. Please send original work and identify any material or interests that could affect how readers interpret it.
